This sculpture deals with themes of domestic violence and nature over nurture.
An unborn child is in a position of great vulnerability in the body of a mortal when situations become unstable.
A female in a domestic violent environment may have to make the agonising decision to let her children go and live else where for their own safety and well-being.
The White Kitchen Appliance symbolises modern life; an artificial temporary illusion of safety –
a box which is as much containing and restricting life and growth as it is supporting and sustaining it.
